HOW IT WORKS
MEMBERS
If there are three members: the first swims, the second cycles, and the third runs. If there are two members in the relay team, one will complete one segment and the other will complete two; the order of the segments is up to you. You must indicate on the form who will complete each segment.
RELAY DELIVERY
The team members exchange gear in the transition area. The swimmer must exit the water and run to their designated transition area, where the cyclist will be waiting with their bike (they may already be fully changed). The swimmer will hand over the timing chip as a baton; the cyclist cannot take their bike off the bike until they have the chip. The cyclist will complete their 20km swim and return to their designated transition area, where they will hand over their race number and timing chip to the runner after hanging up their bike. The runner may already be changed, and once they have their race number and chip correctly attached, they can start the running course.
EQUIPMENT
It is not mandatory for the three team members to wear the same kit. Swimsuits are permitted in the swimming segment; trisuits are not required. In the cycling segment, the use of an approved helmet is mandatory, and any type of bicycle may be used, with the following limitations: (i) brakes must be in good working order; (ii) no elements or configurations that could pose a danger to the safety of the participant or other participants are allowed (no time trial or mountain bike aero bars are permitted; racks are not allowed; handlebar ends must be capped); (iii) electric bicycles are not permitted. Time trial bicycles, as well as folding bicycles, are not allowed.
TIMING CHIP
Each team only needs one chip, whether owned or rented.
FINISH LINE
Team members will be able to run the last 100 meters of the race together to cross the finish line together.
CATEGORIES
There are 3 categories: male, female and mixed (minimum one member per sex in each team).
FEDERATIVE LICENSE
It is not mandatory to be a member of the federation. Each team member pays for their own day insurance if they are not a member of the federation.
